Woven Insulation - Cable bandages
Product description | |
---|---|
Cable bandages were installed as a means of fire protection on electrical cables in electrical substations, typically located in switchrooms and switchyards of Zone and Sub-transmission substations, underground and chamber distribution substations, as well as in cable basements and cable pits. Typical locations include high voltage cables at transformer, high voltage cables at switchgear, switchgear-transformer cables, and low voltage cables at feeder panels. Cable Bandages have only been found within ex Electricity Commission and Ausgrid substations. All knowncable bandages have been removed from Endeavour Energy assets. Cable bandages are usually wrapped uniformly around the cable, they are white to cream in colour, highly friable asbestos material where fibres could be freed just by touching them. | |
