Asbestos millboard was used in the construction industry all over the world. Because of its flame-resistant durability it became a popular material to use above fireplaces and stove-tops, as well as other locations in walls and ceilings. Millboard was used in the electricity industry in lining of boxes or interiors of compartments containing heat or spark producing electrical equipment, like relay boxes, contactor boxes. It was also used for lining the inside of wooden outdoor enclosure cabinets or meter boxes. Millboard was alsolocated within the duct work of Air Conditioning re-heating units. This is more specifically located around heating elements. |
